Side event COP29: Pan-African approaches to achieving just transition and 100% renewable energy

This side event at COP29, Baku entitled “Pan-African approaches to achieving Just Transition and 100% renewable energy”, was co-organised by LDC REEEI, Power Shift Africa, University Technology Sydney, the Independent Expert Group on Just Transition and Development and the Fossil Fuel Atlas and held on 18 November, 2024.

The rich discussions explored how 100% renewable energy can be achieved and drive truly people, centered sustainable development and just transitions in Africa and across LDCs.
